- Memory Comments: Modules must be ordered and installed in pairs for Dual Channel mode. Modules must be ordered and installed in group of four For Quad Channel mode. Mixing x4 and x8 modules is allowed, however not within the same bank. If 4GB or more is installed under a 32-bit operating system, the recognized memory may be reduced to 3.5GB or less (depending on system configuration and memory allocation). Maximum configurations require a 64-bit operating system (XP 64-bit, Vista 64-bit, Linux 64-bit, Mac OSX). Any configuration up to 32GB can be reached using 1GB, 2GB and 4GB modules in pairs.
