Memory Comments: Due to chipset limitations, DDR3 Quad Rank memory is limited to operate at a maximum of 1066MHz. When two Quad Rank modules are installed per bank, the processor will automatically clock them down to 800MHz. The 4GB DDR3-1333 Reg ECC modules come in two versions: 313/4G using x4 and 3138/4G using x8 DRAM. The two parts may be installed in the same system but not within the same memory bank. Use like modules for dual channel operation. Using Registered ECC DIMMs: any configuration up to 256GB can be reached using 2GB, 4GB, 8GB and 16GB modules. Using ECC Unbuffered DIMMs: any configuration up to 128GB can be reached using 2GB and 4GB modules.
