Enterprise Multi-Level Cell (MLC) is a phrase being used in conjunction with Single-Level Cell (SLC) drives on most SSD forums online. The reason is simple: enterprise level solid state drives have more endurance and performance capabilities than MLC drives.

These drives are slightly higher priced than MLC drives due to their exceptionally high data storing capability and high durability.

These enterprise MLCs have now become the norm in modern data centers because they are long-lasting and provide better error-correction facilities to the user.
